From scorched pineapples to charred bananas: 9 ways to grill your fruits

Whether it's a refreshing summer salad or a dessert with a touch of smokiness, grilling fruits can bring out plenty of natural sweetness and a beautiful, caramelised texture to boot.

Peaches are delicious on their own, but when grilled, it brings out extra sweetness and aroma, making them a perfect addition to your salad. Together with candied pecan, bacon and a rich buttermilk dressing, this is your go-to salad for your next BBQ.

Barbecuing fruit is a great option for an easy summer dessert. This tropical extravaganza turns things up a notch with a basting of coconut milk and rum caramel as the pineapple cooks.

For the best result, brush your watermelon with a little grapeseed oil and sprinkle with some salt and pepper before grilling. This is a vibrant, refreshing salad full of texture and flavour, with salty haloumi and crunchy cucumber.

This will be a great appetizer to whip up, packed full of sweet, salty and fruity flavours. Make sure you grill both sides of the peaches, skin and flesh, while the fig goes into the oven. It's easy but presents beautifully.
