In 2018, it’s entirely possible to pay someone to teach you how to make their secret pasta sauce recipe.

Airtasker user Alexandra T recently posted an ad seeking someone to teach her how to cook “the best ever pasta sauce”.

Online marketplace Airtasker connects those who need something done with those who’re willing to do it – for the right price, of course.

“My nonna passed away a couple of years ago, and one of the many things I miss about her is the delicious, heart-warming pasta she used to make me.” Alexandra T says.

“I can’t articulate the sensation I had with nonna’s pasta sauces, but there’s a warmth and cosiness to it that I can’t recreate myself, nor has been fully achieved at the epic restaurants I’ve visited around inner Sydney.”

While it sounds like whoever takes on the job has some pretty serious shoes to fill, it’s clear that Alexandra means business – she’s offering $500 for the job.

The post has garnered a significant reaction: 245 comments in about 24 hours, and more offers than we can count. But who will she choose?

There’s Airstasker user Karen B, who’s been making her sauce for 25 years – “it’s a winner with my family,” she writes.

Or perhaps Alexandra will go with Jason C, who’s a bit too willing to divulge his entrepreneurial leanings. “I’ve often thought about bottling my own and selling it, as my last name would be the brand, Cravino’s,” he says.

“Lucky enough that this name/brand will [complement] all my future goals, Cravino’s Estate, Cravino’s Wines, Cravino’s Italian Restaurant, etc.” Good for you, Jason!

While the task appears legit on face value, we’re not sure if it’s a hoax or marketing ploy.
