This frosty blend is a super-cool, super-healthy and super-tasty way to start any day. Keep it plain and simple, or experiment with colourful additions like banana, spinach and berries.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (500 ml) coconut water
  • 8-10 ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Place the coconut water and ice in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the juice into glasses or jars (straws optional) to serve. 
 

VARIATIONS

The clean green

Add 2 cups (50 g) baby spinach leaves, 1 peeled banana and 16 whole raw almonds to the juice mixture in step 1 (see recipe, above), before blending. Serves 2-3.

The berry delicious

Add 2 cups (300g ) frozen mixed berries, 16 whole raw cashews and a few mint leaves to the juice mixture in step 1 (see recipe, above), before blending. Serves 2-3.

Oven temperatures are for conventional; if using fan-forced (convection), reduce the temperature by 20˚C. | We use Australian tablespoons and cups: 1 teaspoon equals 5 ml; 1 tablespoon equals 20 ml; 1 cup equals 250 ml. | All herbs are fresh (unless specified) and cups are lightly packed. | All vegetables are medium size and peeled, unless specified. | All eggs are 55-60 g, unless specified.
