'With learning and education we have tolerance': Mosques open doors in wake of NZ attack

Twenty-one mosques across Victoria opened their doors to the public on Sunday, two days after the horrific terrorist attack in Christchurch.

Thousands of people have visited mosques across Melbourne and Victoria, in open days for more than 20 places of worship.

A long-running initiative by Islamic councils across Australia, the significance of Sunday’s open day was increased dramatically after the 

Visitors met members of local Muslim communities, went on guided tours, took hijab tutorials, and discussed Islamic beliefs over a sausage sizzle.
