“I called Gen Akol Koor:” Peter Biar’s mother appeals to President Kiir

Peter Biar’s mother appeals to President Kiir Mayardit to help release her son. Ayor Awal Alier said she called the head of the national security General Akol Koor, but nothing worked. She was talking to SBS Dinka while in the United States. Biar's mother said she tried everything to help secure her son's release, but this never materialised!

Ayor Awal Alier said she trusted that the Government that she supported for long would make the right decision to release Peter Biar. 

“I have contacted General Akol Koor, Minister Awut Deng, Vice President Taban Deng but nothing came out. I have tried to find out what is it that my son has done, but no one told me. In my family, we have always supported the Government and stood by SPLM. It is time for President Kiir to release our children because we are at the time of peace. We are hurting, and I was hurt when I saw the photos of my son in the last court.”
