Jonglei State former Governor Philip Aguer Panyang has confirmed to SBS Dinka that his office 'received a letter from Boma State containing the names of children alleged to be in Jonglei Counties and the 'letter is with the Jonglei State Ministry of Local Government'. Aguer couldn't specifically detail which county, in particular, these Murle children are being held?

"Yes, we have received a letter from Boma State containing the names of children alleged to be in Jonglei Counties. The letter is with the Jonglei State Ministry of Local Government. I will suggest that you get hold of the letter and you will see what is in it. When I was the Governor, I was able to circulate this letter to the commissioners of all counties in Jonglei State...We have to know that peace is both ways if we need peace.....David Yauyau is now the champion for peace, and we all need to support him. As for the letter, it is up to the current Government to follow it up, but we need peace in between Boma State and neighbouring states, including Jonglei. We have a market now in Anyidi, and we need to do the same thing in Gadiang so that Twic and Duk can have peace. There are a lot of Jieng people now doing business in Murle land, and Murle people are coming to Bor too. We need that."
