Coronavirus live map tracks global spread

World Health Organisation officials are convening today to decide on whether the current coronavirus outbreaks constitutes a global public health emergency - Death toll has risen to 170, while more than 7.000 cases have been confirmed in China - Follow live updates on the worldwide spread of the outbreak through an online tracking dashboard created by the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering.

Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, announced that an international team of experts is convening today to assess whether the extent of the coronavirus spread "constitutes a public health emergency of international concern."
With the Wuhan coronavirus spreading across China rapidly as well as the rest of the world, scientists at the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering have created an interactive online dashboard tracking the outbreak situation as it unfolds.

The mapping website provides information including numbers of deaths and confirmed cases of the virus across a world map and is updated in near real time.
