A young man who was hit by a truck and killed last night has been identified.

The 19-year-old Keysborough teenager was Vishal Manhant.

The reports that the Vishal's family members in India have confirmed.

He was a former Keysborough Secondary College Student. 

It is also reported that a Pakenham man has been charged over the death Vishal.

Vishal was struck and killed by a truck in Melbourne's south-east last night while he was getting out of his car.

According to Leading Senior Constable Paul Turner, the Media Officer for , Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal crash at Dandenong South.

It’s alleged a truck was travelling south on Dandenong-Frankston Road when it collided with a stationary car and pedestrian about 5.35pm.

The 31-year-old truck driver has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and has been bailed  to the Melbourne Magistrates Court on April 12.
