Jannah Dryden told SBS Radio Hmong program that why she is choosing the main character in her 8 series as a Hmong man, what is the role that this man will play and what is the comedy series is all about.

Jannah Dryden shares her thoughts into why she wants a Hmong man as the main character in her comedy series in far-north Queensland.

She told SBS Radio Hmong program that it is because she grew up studying primary and secondary schools with Hmong kids and also living in a community that so many Hmong lives in. Therefore, she feels more authentic to choose a Hmong man as the main character, because her comedy series is base at far-north Queensland. Though the to be Hmong man may be the main character, there will be other diverse characters ranging from actor with down syndrome and the transgender communities.

Ms Dryden says that ''when I first start looking into it I kind of realise that there was virtually no representation on screen and actually being able to find a Hmong actor was virtually impossible."

She already wrote the first episode, however this project is still at the very early stage where funding is needed in order to write and to produce the rest of these series, hopefully finding a Hmong writer who can contribute to these series.

Jannah Dryden elaborates that the story of this comedy series is that ''It is about an office comedy where this Hmong man as a software engineer in fintech cryptocurrency was set up by his business partner as fraud to commit some high end fraud so he and his wife and end up in jail for the rest of their lives and their child will fall into the hands of the state. And this man is intending to clear his name and bringing down this organisation."

Ms Dryden would like to suggest anyone to arts because she believe ''art is fantastic'', and she would like to encourage Hmong community to ''Get out there and get involve with the community and get some experience in acting, whether it be theatre, whether it be through some acting classes, doing some short films yourselves, to get a better understanding of that and hopefully by the time when we are ready to press go on this, we have that kind of engagement.''
