An Air India passenger was horrified to find a dead cockroach in his meal.

According to , Rahul Raghuvanshi was flying from Hydrabad to Chicago with Air India flight when he was served his meal. He was enjoying his meal almost to the end when, before his last bite, he notices a dead cockroach curled up in his food. To make matters worse, Rahul is a vegetarian who wrote that he was “traumatised” by the find.

He took a picture of his meal tray and tweeted it online.
Many people have expressed their disgust at the incident since then and Air India has apologised in response. They wrote:

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

“We have zero-tolerance policy in this respect. Obligatory action is taking place.”

The Senior Manager of corporate communications, Dhananjay Kumar told Times of India, that the matter is being treated seriously and “Further investigation is going on.”
