Prakash Chhibber, the owner of the restaurant said it was difficult with limited staff to go out and ask people if they needed food, and that's when he decided to put up the signs at the door of his restaurant.

"I thought, how many people can I go and ask 'Are you hungry?' It’s not possible,’ he said.

‘So I thought, why not put up a sign? In case someone is hungry."

While the restaurant has become the talk of the town due to this act of giving, Mr. Chhibber says he is not going out of his way to do this.

"We always have enough food," says Mr. Chhibber.

"I’m feeling sad, I think that I can do much more. I am already preparing food for other people. I am not going out of my way – this is my way of life. I am not doing anything extra."

"I always jokingly say that the front door is for paying my bills and the back door is my personal."
