Scuffle on Melbourne train following racist taunts against Indian woman

An eyewitness films the scuffle on his camera that ensued the alleged racial abuse hurled at an elderly Indian woman.

A scuffle ensued on a Melbourne train after an elderly Indian woman was subjected to alleged racial attack.

The incident was filmed by a passenger and the videos posted on Facebook.

The incident occurred on 10 March on a Lilydale train near Boxhill.

According to an eyewitness the offenders began hurling racial abuse at an elderly Indian woman. He said an Asian looking man tried to jump in as nobody else intervened, but he had to face aggression, even some missed punches were thrown his way.

The police say they are aware of the such an incident having happened on the train, however haven't confirmed if the videos were related to the incident.
