VIDEO: Indian-origin service station attendant restrained during robbery

An Indian-origin service station attendant was restrained during an aggravated robbery in Adelaide a little after midnight.  

A man and a woman threatened the staff at the service station and demanded cash. Police said the man restrained a staff member while the woman stole money from the till.

A surveillance video of the incident shows the man attacking the store attendant with a beetroot can he managed to duck just in time to evade getting struck.
Police said no one was hurt during the robbery and no weapons were used in the crime.

The male suspect is described as about 172cm tall, solid build, aged in his mid-30s, fair complexion and was wearing a black baseball cap with a white logo, a dark-coloured jumper and black tracksuit pants with white stripes along the sides.

The female suspect is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, about 165cm tall, slim build, aged in her late 20s and had dark hair pulled back into a ponytail. She was wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper with a red hood and sleeves, grey pants and dark-coloured shoes.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
