Joginder Singh's grandfather Phuman Singh first landed in Auckland in 1920, aboard a ship named Mahino.


He was accompanied by four other friends, and they had sailed to New Zealand after staying in Singapore for around six months.

Here is a story of the family, and its many generations, who truly are Punjabi pioneers in the Australia - New Zealand region.
