High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia Mr. Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri infomed BS Urdu that Pakistan-Australia trade highlight bilateral exchanges valued at $2.5 billion in 2022. Australia exports agricultural goods, coal, and fertilizers to Pakistan, while importing textiles and apparel. Education cooperation is robust, with Pakistani students playing a crucial role in Australia.

Zahid Hafiz Chaudhry is a Pakistani diplomat with more than two decades of experience in international relations. He has served in various positions, including the State Department. Mr. Chaudhry has been part of Pakistan's diplomatic missions in Washington DC and London. He studied at the National Defense University in Washington DC.
Addressing questions raised by the Pakistani Australian community, Mr. Chaudhry discussed improvements in consular services, such as document and driver's license verification, ensuring timely responses from consulate offices, and addressing concerns related to international students.

Mr Chaudhri also addressed the reports that U.S. Congress has urged President Joe Biden to postpone recognition of Pakistan's new government amid allegations of election interference following the February 8 polls.
