Antarctica's biological diversity under the microscope

A review into habitats in the Antarctic has found that the region is more biologically diverse than previously thought.

Led by Monash scientists, the paper also looks at how Antarctic conservation is progressing under the existing Strategic Plan on Biodiversity.

The plan examines the success of conservation efforts in the Antarctic and Southern Ocean.

Steven Chown is the Head of the School of Biological Sciences at Monash University.

He explained to Van Nguyen what the review found.
