A garden designed for a busy corporate couple living in inner-city Melbourne will feature at this year's Chelsea Flower Show in London.
Landscape designer and television presenter Charlie Albone will create the garden for display from May 24-28 after becoming the only Australian to be invited back to the prestigious show for a second consecutive year.
In 2015 he won a silver-gilt medal at the Royal Horticultural Society's world-renowned annual showcase and he will be in the hunt for gold this year.
Albone said his showcase garden for 2016 was designed for "a busy corporate couple living in inner city Melbourne", offering space to relax and retreat from the pressures of modern living.
"A beautiful garden is the perfect support system, providing an escape from life's stresses and encouraging positive thinking," he said in a statement.
The garden will feature two large Banksia at the entrance, a sunken lawn, bluestone cobbles, a mix of plants from around the world, a sculpture by Victorian sculptor Will Wilson, a water feature and a floating structure reminiscent of Melbourne's Federation Square.
Albone's team heads to London on April 30 and will have 19 days to complete the garden ahead of the show.
