Stand-up comedian Mohammed "Mo" Amer sat next to the son of US President-elect Donald Trump during the six-hour transatlantic flight.
Amer, who was on his way to the UK leg of a comedy tour, posted a photo of the encounter to social media, and discussed what was said during their conversation.
"Hey guys heading to Scotland to start the U.K. Tour and I am 'randomly' chosen to sit next to none other than Eric Trump," the post said.
"Good news guys, Muslims will not have to check in and get IDs. That's what I was told. I will be asking him a lot of questions on this trip to Glasgow, Scotland. Sometimes god just sends you the material."

Amer later told Buzzfeed he spoke to Trump about reported proposals for the formation of a government registry for immigrants from majority-Muslim countries.
"And I said - just FYI I'm not getting that ID shit done. You gonna really make my people get ID cards and all this? You know we're not doing this s***," Amer said, in which he claimed Trump responded "come on man. You can't believe everything you read. Do you really think we're gonna do that?"
Amer told Quartz that Trump asked him to send a message to fellow comedian Dave Chappelle to "take it easy" on the Trumps, referring to Chapelle's recent scathing Saturday Night Live skit.
“I was like, you can’t do that, that’s not what we do. It’s our job essentially to scrutinise the king,” Amer said.
Amer described Trump as “very disconnected” from concerns circulating about racism that his father's campaign has fueled in the US.
