Report finds Australian teenagers driven homeless due to pandemic stress

A new report has found hundreds of teenagers became homeless for the first time last year, couch-surfing or seeking refuge in shelters or temporary accommodation as the stress of the pandemic took hold. Many young people were forced to flee their homes to escape violence, financial and psychological stress. Mission Australia says it highlights the need for the government to deliver on its commitment to invest in public housing.
