2017 NAIDOC Poster competition closes this week

The annual NAIDOC Poster competition is in its final week. Here's a rundown of requirements if you are interested in having your artwork showcased across the country.

Every year Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander artists are invited to submit their creative artworks for the National NAIDOC Poster Competition - with the winning artwork used to create the official NAIDOC poster, distributed across the country to promote NAIDOC week (2-9 July).

Each year a different theme is explored and must be reflected in the artwork. The theme for 2017  is 'Our Languages Matter'.

The winning artwork, as well as being showcased across the country, will also be awarded a $5000 cash prize. All entries will be viewed and judged by the National NAIDOC Committee
The importance, resilience and richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages will be the focus of national celebrations marking NAIDOC Week 2017.
