Two years of detective work by Michael Walsh has led to the discovery of more than 200 documents detailing 100 different Indigenous languages.
The Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies researcher unveiled the documents at a two- day international conference called ‘Hidden Gems’.
Materials held in libraries around the world are being used to revive languages that are considered to be dead or under threat of extinction.
