A video showing a kangaroo play boxing with a man in a backyard has emerged on Facebook and attracted half a million views to date.

The video was posted on Monday by the Facebook Page 'Ya know ya a black fulla when' and has been watched more than 563,000 times.

the kangaroo looks like a juvenile red kangaroo, however the original post did not contain a description making it unclear what breed the kangaroo is or where or when the video was taken.
Some commenters suggested the behaviour might be harming the kangaroo but others dismissed these suggestions, saying the animal was a rescue animal and was clearly enjoying the game and that play boxing is an important part of a kangaroo's behavior.

At one point the man in the video tries to leave which prompts the kangaroo to grab onto him and try to keep the game going.

Last year a video of a man punching a kangaroo after it grabbed his dog went viral online.
Greig Tonkins who worked as a zookeeper at Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo was on a hunting trip when one of his dogs encountered the kangaroo which grabbed the dog in a headlock
