South Australia

Cultural Day, Berri
 the rich culture and history of the First Australians with the theme ‘Our History, Our Story, Our Future’ from 11.00am-2.30pm on Friday, 27 May. There will be a BBQ lunch and a live radio broadcast as well as activities for the kids.

Reconciliation Breakfast. Adelaide

This  by Reconciliation South Australia at the Adelaide Convention will feature a keynote speech from Tanya Hosch, Joint Campaign Director of Recognise. The breakfast, on the 27th of May at 7.00am, will also include a particular focus on young people who will be talking about their hopes for the future.

Kaurna Heritage and History Tour, Bedford Park
Warriparinga is a sacred place for the local Kaurna people and this 90 minute guided tour will reveal the stories of the land from the bush to the river. The  starts on the Warriparinga Way at 10.30am on Thursday, 26 May and bookings are essential.

Spear Screening, Roxby Downs
Marvel at the talents of Bangarra Dance Theatre during this feature length film, which will be  at 7.00pm on Wednesday 25 May in Roxby Downs as part of the Black Screen initiative.

The Lowitja O’Donoghue Oration, Adelaide

The annual  will be delivered by The Hon Reverend Dr Lynn Arnold AO at the University of Adelaide on 31 May at 7.00pm. The former Premier of South Australia and former Chief Executive of AnglicareSA will speak on the topic Lingua Nullius: A retrospect and prospect about Australia's first languages. 
Lowitja O'Donoghue
The Lecture was named in honour of Lowitja O'Donoghue in 2007.

Western Australia

Dandjoo Koorliny Reconciliation Gathering, Eden Hill
The town of Bassendean’s Dandjoo Koorliiny  will celebrate Nyoongar culture with dance, story-telling and songs over a BBQ lunch at Mary Crescent Reserve on Tuesday 24 May at 10.00am. 

Reconciliation Run and Picnic, Bibra Lake
Run, walk or jog for reconciliation on Saturday 28 May from 8.00am at Progress Drive, Bibra Lake (west side of Bibra Lake, near Adventure World). A organised by the City of Cockburn and a picnic will follow from 9.30-11.00am with light refreshments provided however please bring your own picnic lunch. 

Cultural Tours and Movie screening, Fremantle
will be offering cultural tours on Saturday 28 May at 11.00am, 12.00pm and 1.00pm as well as a movie screening at 10.30am on Thursday 26 May.

Victoria

Aboriginal Victoria Forum, Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre

Running from 9am – 5pm Thursday 26 and Friday 27 May (youth-focused day), this event encourages the community to get involved in discussions around treaty, self-determination and the constitution recognition debate via a series of keynote speeches, panel discussions, Q&As and workshops. With moderators Stan Grant and Richard Frankland, speakers include Natalie Hutchins, Michael Mansell, Alison Vivian, the Koorie Youth Council and more. Register to attend. Take a satirical look at black-white relations in 20th century Australia at this  at 11am on Thursday 26 May at the Council Chambers.

Reconciliation Week Lunch, North Fitzroy
Come and join Aboriginal Housing Victoria and the Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care to acknowledge Sorry Day and to celebrate Reconciliation Week.  will be held near Tram Stop 23 on St Georges Road, North Fitzroy from 12.00pm on Thursday 26 May, 2016.

The Long Walk, Melbourne

AFL player Michael Long's walk to Canberra in 2004 started a movement.  join thousands for a free concert in Federation Square from 12.00pm and then participate in the 'Long Walk' to the Dreamtime at the 'G AFL match between Essendon and Richmond, at 4.30pm.

Gnarrwirring Ngitj Festival, Ballarat
Gnarrwirring Ngitj is a Wadawurrung phrase meaning “learning together” and the Sovereign Hill Museums Association and the Wathaurung Aboriginal Corporation present  designed to deepen your understanding of Australia’s history.

Hear from prominent Victorian Aboriginal history expert Dr Fred Cahir at the first inaugural . Other activities include live performances, education sessions, a digital tour, cultural workshops and the performance of ‘Invisible People’, a play about the impact of the Goldrush on the local Aboriginal community.

Constitutional Recognition Talk, Logan
It’s a hot topic at the moment so join Aunty Heather Castledine at 5.30pm on Thursday 26 May at to talk and discuss Constitutional Recognition. Light refreshments provided.

Australian Capital Territory

Reconciliation Australia Lecture, Canberra

Reconciliation Australia CEO Justin Mohamed will speak to the milestone '' Report hightlighting what has been acheived in the areas of race relations, equality and equity, institutional integrity, unity, and historical acceptance. The free event will be held at the Parliament House Theatre at 10.20am on Monday 30 May. 

Discover Indigenous Records at the National Archives, Canberra
Come face to face with Indigenous history on a tour of the exhibition ‘Memory of a Nation’: hear the story of the Larrakia bark petition, see the 1967 Referendum and read letters protesting the arrest of Albert Namatijira.

The special tours will run from Friday 27 May to Friday 3 June and  so get in quick.

Sorry Day Bridge Walk, Canberra

Join the locals on a walk across Commonwealth Avenue Bridge to mark Sorry Day and the beginning of Reconciliation Week. which starts from Regatta Point at 10.45am on Friday 27 May will be followed by entertainment and a healthy lunch.

New South Wales

Reconciliation Walk and Gathering Concert, Mount Druitt
This will begin from 11.00am on Saturday 21 May with on-stage entertainment, the Mt Druitt’s Get Talent Competition and various stalls, demonstrations and workshops at Dawson Mall.

The Reconciliation Walk invites Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Australians to walk together and support the building of respectful relationships. It will commence at 12.00pm.  

Colours of Country Art Exhibition, Gosford
The annual exhibition will be held in memory of Sean Lonergan this year, a local man who founded the Gosford Aboriginal Art Competition. Numerous local artists will contribute both traditional and contemporary pieces to the exhibition which runs from 26 May to 5 June at the

An Aboriginal Cultural Market Day will be held on Sunday 29 May with a Welcome to Country, bush tucker tasting and dance performances as well as the presentation of the art awards.

Sea of Hands Concert, Sydney

Sydney puts their hand up for reconciliation at Barangaroo Reserve with the evolving and a free Opening Night Concert on Friday, 27 May from 5:00pm featuring live performances by Indigenous artists on the Walumil Lawns.

The sails of the iconic will glow with contemporary Indigenous art throughout Reconciliation Week.
Vivid Reconciliation Week

Cultural Day, Kariong
The Bara Barang Aboriginal Corporation will be hosting a Sorry Day and National Reconciliation Week which will include a flag raising and a smoking ceremony, followed by a cultural performance by local young people.

The event will take place at 9.00am on Thursday 26 May at Green Central and involve students and services from throughout the Central Coast.

Guringai Festival, North Sydney
The annual Guringai Festival begins on the 26th of May and continues until the end of NAIDOC week in various councils across Sydney's North. The Reconciliation Week program includes an official launch, a constitutional recognition forum, heritage walks, film screenings, an education program and a children's choir performance. Koojay Corroboree, Coogee
To kickstart your Reconciliation Week head down to Coogee Beach from 11.00am-4.00pm on Friday, 27 May for the . Hosted by Randwick City Council and La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council, there will be markets, special guest speakers and a Corroboree of dance from 1.00pm.
