New Zealand Breakers v Melbourne United

1. NZ need to snap losing streak

The Breakers were starting to turn their season around a few weeks ago but have lost their last three games, all by double-digit margins.

Perth Wildcats v Illawarra Hawks

2. Red hot Wildcats

The Perth Wildcats are the hottest team in the country, having won 5 games in a row and 9 of their last 10. Can the Hawks tame the ‘Cats in the Jungle?

3. Travel weary Hawks

The Hawks have been dealt a brutal schedule over the first half of NBL21 having still only played one game on their home court in Wollongong.

Brisbane Bullets v New Zealand Breakers

4. Battle of the boards

The Breakers had all kinds of trouble cleaning the defensive glass last week, allowing Brisbane to grab 20 offensive rebounds (14 in the opening half).

South East Melbourne Phoenix v Melbourne United

5. Throwdown VII

Melbourne United have won four of the six previous clashes between these rivals but the SEM Phoenix won their last meeting, just a couple of weeks ago. This should be a cracking clash between two top four teams!

6. Sykes returns

SEM’s star import is expected to make his return in this game after missing his squad’s past 7 games with an ankle injury. Across the season, Sykes is averaging 16.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game. in Sykes’ absence but will welcome the dynamic point guard back, nonetheless, given his elite scoring and play-making skills.

Sydney Kings v Perth Wildcats

7. Grand final rematch

Last year’s Grand Finalists clash for the second time this season – but this time it will be on Sydney’s home floor.

8. Cotton v Ware

The best individual rivalry in the competition. These two have faced-off in the past two Grand Finals and each time they meet each other it is an epic battle of back-court brilliance.

Cairns Taipans v Adelaide 36ers

9. Bad streak battle

Both of these teams are on five-game losing streaks but one of them will be back on the winner’s list after this one!

Illawarra Hawks v Brisbane Bullets

10. Offense v defense

Entering Round 11, the Bullets have the second-ranked offense in the NBL (by points per possession) but the last-ranked defence. Illawarra’s high-powered offence will once again test Brisbane’s D, having scorer at least 90 points against them three times already this season.
