Don't blink or you'll miss this fast 5

Gonzalo Higuain scored for Napoli just nine seconds after the re-start against a Fiorentina side that had just taken the lead. Here are five other times defences were caught with their pants down directly from the kick-off, including a couple of record-breaking Australians.

1) Damien Mori 3.69 seconds - ADELAIDE CITY v Sydney United (December 1995)

The two-time Johnny Warren medal winner racked up 334 goals for 10 different clubs during his 22-year career, but his most memorable goal came against Sydney United during the 1995-1996 National Soccer League season.

Mori's goal was, at the time, a world record for fastest goal in a match.

2) Tim Cahill 7 seconds - NEW YORK RED BULLS v Houston Dynamos (October 2013)

The Socceroos striker broke the record for the fastest goal in Major League Soccer history with this sensational volley against Houston.

Unfortunately for Timmy, the record has since been broken by another Red Bulls forward, Mike Grella.

But that doesn't mean we shouldn't still revel in Cahill's moment of magic.

3) Daniel Frahn 10 seconds - RB LEIPZIG v Stuttgart II (September 2013)

Red Bull Leipzig made their intentions clear with a seven-man attacking raid from the kick-off against Stuttgart II in the German second division.

The Stuttgart II defence was overwhelmed by the number of Leipzig players in their attacking zone and when the ball was knocked across the box, Daniel Frahn was there to head home.

4) Asmir Begovic 14 seconds - STOKE CITY v Southampton (November 2013)

It wasn't the quickest goal you will see but the fact that it was scored by a goalkeeper makes it all the more special.

As you can see, the windy conditions at Britannia Stadium played right into the home side's hands (or should we say feet?) with this.

5) K-Stars v FERROVIARO

K-Stars were left red-faced after an over-indulgent goal celebration.

While the Zambian side ran over to a group of primary school children in the stands, Mozambique outfit Ferroviario took advantage and caught the opposition keeper off his line with a quick restart.

It was a humiliating reminder to always play to the whistle.
