Figure skating's upcoming Grand Prix Final is the exclusive pinnacle of the sport.

The event is held each December at the conclusion of the Grand Prix Series. It also marks the halfway point to March's World Championships, but rather than the all-in nature of that prestigious event, the Final features only the top six skaters from each of the sport's four disciplines across both elite and juniors: Men's singles; women's singles; pairs skating; and ice dance.
Skaters earned points for their finishes at each of their (maximum) two Grand Prix appearances with 15 points for gold, 13 for silver, 11 for bronze, and gradually decreasing points for the remaining finishers.

Unfortunately, no Australians will fly the flag in China, with best-placed duo Anastasia Golubeva and Hektor Giotopoulos Moore ranked 11th in the pairs and not making the competition. They were the winners in the junior pairs last year in Torino at the Grand Prix Final.
This year, the Capital Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China, will play host to the top skaters 7-10 December and you can watch all the action on SBS On Demand live or via catch-up video at your leisure.
