Ahead of LGBTQ pride month, global beauty powerhouse Sephora will be offering a new series of makeup classes tailored to the transgender and nonbinary community.

The classes were developed and will be hosted by Sephora's transgender employees - affectionately referred to in-house as "cast-members".
The "Bold Beauty for the Transgender Community" class series is complimentary and will be launching in June.

Sephora “held focus groups and worked with our employees experiencing their own gender journeys to help determine class content, sensitivity training procedures, and to help figure out which stores would make the most sense,” Sephora's Corrie Conrad told genderqueer beauty writer Arabelle Sicardi at .

She continued: “The trans and nonbinary community is a beloved part of our community and we want to be allies."
"That’s the point of all our programming: Whether you’re entering the workforce or questioning your gender, that’s a major life transition. We want to be there for you."
While the 90-minute classes will be held at 150 locations around the world, Sephora also plans to upload corresponding video tutorials for everyone to watch on .
According to Them, the classes will focus on “colour correction, smoothing the skin, and other topics suggested during focus groups with trans members of the community."
