There's nothing wrong with watching 'just one more', but be warned, these shows are so addictive that you might want to cancel all of your plans for a while.

Tin Star

Crime drama Tin Star centres on Jim Worth (Tim Roth), a recovering alcoholic who moves to a small alpine town in Canada. His posting of local police chief is an attempt at a peaceful life, but his troubled and violent past soon comes back to kick him in the guts. Amidst a shocking family tragedy, the town’s also being ruthlessly corrupted by big oil keeping Jim busier than he ever intended to be. 

Borgen

Danish drama Borgen has been winning awards and collecting loyal followers the world over since debuting in 2011. Starring Sidse Babett Knudsen as Birgitte Nyborg, Denmark’s first female prime minister, treacherous waters must be navigated, but Nyborg is determined to not only keep afloat but retain her idealism. With a cast just as watchable as Nyborg and expertly crafted storylines, don’t be surprised if you become just as obsessed with this show as .

Bad Banks

After being wrongly fired from a prestigious bank in Luxembourg, young and ambitious Jana finds her dream job at a competing bank in Frankfurt, thanks to the unexpected help of Christelle Leblanc, her former boss. While Jana quickly manages to impress her new team, she realises that Leblanc has secretly been manipulating her to her own advantage. Will Jana survive this merciless power play? 

Project Blue Book

Drawn from the real-life X-Files – unclassified records of UFO-related sightings in 1950s and 60s America – Project Blue Book is all the more absorbing for its basis in real events. Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) stars as Dr J Allen Hynek, hired by the US Air Force to investigate reports of unexplained phenomena. 

Nox

When her daughter Julie disappears in Paris' underground tunnels, retired cop Catherine (Nathalie Baye) embarks on a race against time to find her. With the help of Julie's police partner, she investigates the mysteries of Julie's past and the horrors of the city's underbelly.
