I Am MLK Jr. celebrates the life and explores the character of American icon, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Following his journey across the mountaintops and valleys while capturing the Civil Rights Movement at large, the film provides intimate, first hand insights on Dr. King. It explores the moments of elation and tragedy, and connects his legacy with the ongoing movement that remains as urgent as when Dr. King first spoke from the pulpit to the heart.

Pompeii: Life Before Death

Man on Wire
On August 7th 1974, a surefooted Frenchman, Philippe Petit, stepped out on a wire stealthily rigged between New York's newly erected Twin Towers (World Trade Center), then the world's tallest buildings. After nearly an hour dancing on the wire, he was arrested, taken for psychological evaluation, then brought to jail and finally released. Following six and a half years of dreaming, Petit spent eight months in NYC planning the execution of the coup. James Marsh's documentary brings Petit's extraordinary adventure to life through the testimony of Philippe himself and some of the co-conspirators who helped him create the unique and magnificent spectacle that became known as "the artistic crime of the century".
