The 'She' podcast, the latest offering from SBS Arabic24, seeks to create a space for Arab migrant women to share their success stories of overcoming the challenges they may have faced in Australia and Arab countries to achieve their aspirations.

Divorcee, spinster, housewife, rebel…

We have so many labels for women who have taken bold life decisions or rejected society’s expectations.

But each of us has a unique identity, journey, and story.

Hosted by award-winning podcaster and journalist, Maram Ismail, and produced by seven female journalists and producers from SBS Arabic24, 'She' is a new podcast that creates a space for Arab migrant women to share their stories of successfully overcoming the challenges they have faced in Australia and Arab countries, and their path to achieve their aspirations.

She Podcast: Arab Australian Women Break Their Silence

03:45
Over eight episodes, 'She' will explore issues specific to Arab women including society's views and judgement on unmarried women, stereotypes imposed on divorced women, feminists, working mothers, leaders, and others...and the impact this has on their lives.

Despite the difference in journey and experience, the goal is the same... liberation from society's restrictions and the stereotypes that sometimes belittle Arab women, their capabilities and aspirations.

Listen to the first episode of 'She' starting Wednesday 8 March, on the Arabic24 website, SBS Audio app or on your favourite podcast app.
