India vs Australia 2018-19 schedule announced

Indian cricket team is set to spend two months in Australia starting mid-November.

Cricket Australia has revealed Australian cricket team’s summer cricket schedule on Monday that will see Australia host New Zealand, South Africa, India and Sri Lanka.

Indian Cricket Team will begin their Australia tour with Twenty-20 matches.

Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney will host these T20 games on November 21st, November 23rd, and November 25th respectively.

The blockbuster Border-Gavaskar trophy series will start on December 6th in Adelaide.

The Perth Stadium will host the second Border-Gavaskar match on December 14th, before the series moves to Melbourne for the boxing day test match on December 26th and Sydney for New Year's game on January 3rd, 2019.

India will then play three one-day internationals at Sydney (January 12th), Adelaide (January 15th) and Melbourne (January 18th)

First T20: Gabba, November 21
Second T20: MCG, November 23
Third T20: SCG, November 25

Tests

First Test: Adelaide Oval, December 6-10
Second Test: Perth Stadium, December 14-18
Third Test: MCG, December 26-30
Fourth Test: SCG, January 3-7

ODIs

First ODI: SCG, January 12
Second ODI: Adelaide Oval, January 15
Third ODI: MCG, January 18

Indian cricket fans are thrilled at the announcement. An ardent supporter of the Indian cricket team, Melbourne-resident Soham Bhatt says he eagerly looks forward to the games. 

"It is a thrill to watch the Indian cricket team play against Australia here. It has been a long wait but I am very excited. I will definitely be going to watch all the games at Melbourne Cricket Ground," he said.

Cricket fans are in for a long season of India vs Australia cricket matches.

After India’s tour of Australia comes to an end in mid-January, Australia will travel to India for one-day series and T20 games.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India will host Australia for five ODIs and two T20 Internationals in February-March 2019.

1st T20I - February 24, Bengaluru

2nd T20I - February 27, Visakhapatnam

1st ODI - March 2, Hyderabad

2nd ODI - March 5, Nagpur

3rd ODI - March 8, Ranchi

4th ODI - March 10, Mohali

5th ODI - March 13, Delhi
