The body of a 15-year-old schoolgirl who drowned off an Adelaide beach has been found.

The teenager was with four other girls at Glenelg on Sunday evening when they got into trouble.

The Indian High Commission is providing support to the group, who were in Adelaide to participate in the Pacific School Games, with consular officials flying in from Sydney.

The international week-long event finished on Saturday and had around 4000 participants from 15 countries in primary and senior school competing in eleven sports.
Witnesses say the other members of the group were deeply distressed.

"It was a really big family and they were running around looking for masks to go in the sea and stuff, and you are just here on the beach and you can't do anything," said one of the witnesses.

Two 17-year-old girls were taken to the Flinders Medical Centre, one in a critical condition and one in a stable condition, ABC reports.

Another 17-year-old girl was transported to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious but stable condition, while a 12-year-old girl was taken to the Women's and Children's Hospital in a stable condition.
