The second season of FX series Pose is due for release in June - and the internet is more than ready for it, with the show's high fashion key art getting fans excited.

Created by TV juggernaut Ryan Murphy, the new season will take place in 1990, with the first episode set on the same day Madonna released 'Vogue', introducing ballroom culture to mainstream audiences.

However, it's not all glitz and glam, with a press release stating: “Meanwhile, the AIDS crisis continues to ravage the community and the reaction from a group of activists reaches a fever pitch."

FX CEO John Landgraf said the show was set to once again "revolutionise" television.
“Ryan Murphy has once again revolutionised television with Pose, an incredibly engaging story of creativity, courage, compassion, love and family at a pivotal time in our culture,” he said.

“As television critics have universally acknowledged, there is simply nothing like Pose on TV, so effortlessly excelling on every creative level and earning a place in television history for its infectiously inclusive spirit.”

The show's cast also includes Mj Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, and Billy Porter - who is set to stun at tomorrow's Camp-themed Met Gala.

The show will hit screens in the US on June 11th.
